la feria de mataderos
sunday we went to a street fair in the western zone of mataderos on the outskirts of capital federal (about an hour in public bus from our apartment). The fair is famous for its wares that are brought in from the interior of argentina, most notably leathers, mates, alpaca and llama furs, and the gauchos themselves. we were able to see traditional dances and listen to music from the interior, as well as have our fill of artisinal salames and cheeses (shayda was especially happy about the latter).
The trip was made all the better by the fact that we had found a place to have brunch sunday morning, complete with omelettes, potatoes, chandon… and even hot sauce!
